Movie Night

You are Invited to a PJ Movie Night
Date: January 20th (Thursday)
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Place: Lori's House

Come lounge out with treats and a movie!

About the movie: The screenplay is an adaptation of the original Jane Austen novel, updated to reflect the contemporary dating situation among Mormons at Brigham Young University. Kam Heskin plays Elizabeth, an independent student who repeatedly rejects the advances of suave Jack Wickham (Henry Maguire). She lives with four roommates: best friend Jane (Lucila Solá), nerdy gal Mary (Rainy Kerwin), and the marriage-obsessed sisters Lydia (Kelly Stables) and Kitty (Nicole Hamilton). Jane starts dating the wealthy Charles Bingley (Ben Gourley), who brings around his British friend Darcy (Orlando Seale). At first, Elizabeth thinks Darcy is overly pompous, but he grows quite fond of her headstrong intelligence. Meanwhile, Charles' evil sister Caroline (Kara Holden) competes for Darcy's affections.

January Presidency Message

We are so grateful for a living prophet who teaches us and helps us to "Be" who Heavenly Father wants us to be. November 2000 President Hinkley encouraged us to:

1. Be grateful.
2. Be smart.
3. Be clean.
4. Be true.
5. Be humble.
6. Be prayerful.

Quilting Club Information

We have had a huge interest in this group which is wonderful! About 1/3 of the sisters are great sewers, 1/3 sew occasionally, and 1/3 are going to need some help. Because of this diverse group, we believe we should have everyone work on the same thing at the same time. That way we can receive one instruction at a time and help each other out. The kit will be $25 and will include everything to make a baby quilt 42x42 inches. Please get money to Jill M. ASAP.  We will be meeting January 13th at 7pm. Please bring with you:
Sewing Machine, Scissors, Pins, Measuring Tape, Seam ripper, and White Cotton Thread

If you do not want a kit, but would still like to make a quilt you will need:

36- 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" Squares of fabric (Jill used 18 different ones)
4- 1 1/2" x 45" small border
4- 4" x 45" large border
1- 45"x 45" back
1- 24"x 24" binding
1- 45"x45" cotton batting
Please have your fabric cut before coming that evening.

If you have any question please contact Jill.
